PDC Throttle Plate is the core wear-resistant spare part for oil & gas choke valve, specially designed for high pressure, sand-rich and corrosive working condition to accurately control pipeline fluid flow and well pressure.

2. Product Material

Made of PDC polycrystalline diamond compact, sintered by artificial diamond powder + tungsten carbide substrate under high temperature & high pressure. It combines ultra-high hardness of diamond and good toughness of cemented carbide, far better than normal tungsten steel throttle plate.

3. Key Advantages

• Strong Wear & Corrosion Resistance: HV10000 hardness resists high-speed fluid erosion and sand scouring; it also withstands H₂S, CO₂ and brine corrosion, fitting sandy, sour and high-salinity wells across Southeast Asian onshore and offshore oilfields.
• High Pressure Endurance & Precision Sealing: Supports 69–103MPa differential pressure for surface and downhole chokes. Its mirror surface with flatness under 0.005mm ensures minimal leakage, with customizable round, triangular and slot holes available.
• Long Lifespan & Significant Cost Reduction:5–20 times longer service life than standard carbide plates, lowering frequent replacement fees, well shutdown losses and overall maintenance expenditure for oilfield operators.

6. Working Principle

High-pressure fluid passes through pre-set throttle holes on PDC plate to reduce pressure and limit flow rate. The premium PDC material prevents hole deformation caused by long-term sand erosion, keeping stable throttling accuracy during long-time continuous production.
